Sen. Klein supports seniors

To the editor:

As a centenarian — 102 years old in February — I wish to express thanks and appreciation to state Sen. Jeffrey Klein.

He has consistently supported and advocated for programs that assist and meet the needs of our elderly residence.

I first met Sen. Klein at a Bronx nursing home, where he successfully served the patients, as well as staff and management. Sen. Klein made a point of knowing the parties, the issues, and suggested a solution and remedy to end the discord.

With common agreement, he acted promptly for all.

This was typical Jeffrey Klein — study, consider and act.

As a legislator for our Bronx communities, Sen. Klein has continued to support legislation on behalf of the elderly. 

One recent example was his push last session to expand senior citizens homeowners exemption.

Sen. Klein also supports local senior centers with funding allocations, including the Riverdale Senior Center.
