If you missed the opening reception at X Gallery revealing their latest curated collection titled "We are our Ancestors" by Diaja, there's still time to catch the exhibit. Each portrait has a specific meaning and embodies rich African culture, infused with a blend abstract sensitivity.

About the artist: Ceres Henry known artistically as Diaja, is recognized for storytelling through various photographic series', which are often inspired by current events, Black and African culture, and social disparities. Her work has caught the attention of various publications including Vogue Italia, Huffington Post, and recently Black Enterprise to name a few. Diaja prides herself in not only creating photos appealing to the eyes of her audience, but thought provoking/ educational photos that raise awareness of the world around her.

About X Gallery: X Gallery is dedicated to participating in the cultural development of Harlem through the exhibition of Art and Photography.
