I was 17 or 18 the first time I took a bus to a march on Washington. It was a giant peace march against the war in Vietnam. Protesting to end the war was what got me involved in the political process in the first place.

We are your Jewish constituents. We are angry and disappointed at your cynical attempt to use the tragedies starting on Oct. 7 to attack other Jews whose views differ from yours, including Jews For Racial & Economic Justice and its political arm, The Jewish Vote.

Perhaps unique in the animal kingdom is humans’ ability to interpret tiny marks on clay tablets, stone, papyrus, paper, or some other material — and now on tiny screens. The ability not only to absorb the meaning of those tiny marks, but to respond to them emotionally, and to think about them.

Judging by the resistance and protests by many greater Riverdale residents to the proposed men’s homeless shelter on Broadway and claims the Overlook Manhattan College dorm may become another shelter, it would seem such people are not welcome here. And that’s a shame.

What a strange letter Lewis Kaminski wrote in a recent edition of The Riverdale Press, equating the willful alteration of nearly 250 legal documents with a typo in The Press.
