Balancing government

To the editor:

Kudos to two of our local state senators, Alessandra Biaggi and Gustavo Rivera, on their proposal to amend the state constitution, and give the legislature — our representatives — power equal to the governor’s in determining the state budget.

Let’s hope it garners the widespread support it deserves to promote greater transparency in government.
