Bowman impresses

To the editor:

NorPAC, a non-partisan political action committee, met with hundreds of congressional members between May 3 and May 6. It was the first virtual NorPAC mission in the 20 years since its founding.

I wish to thank U.S. Rep. Jamaal Bowman and his chief of staff, Sarah Iddrissu, for meeting with NorPAC on May 6 to discuss issues that are vital to the continuation of positive relations between Israel and the United States. The goal is to foster peace and tolerance in the region.

The meetings explored issues of foreign aid, Iran, support for the Abraham Accords, and the holding of the Palestinian education ministry accountable for its curriculum.

It is especially noteworthy that Rep. Bowman’s office was very receptive to hearing the diversity of opinions from the Jewish community, and wished to continue future dialogue on these important issues.
