Eric Dinowitz and Dan Padernacht are already duking it out for city council, even though its current occupant — Andrew Cohen — isn’t scheduled to officially leave until 2021. But now there’s potentially a third candidate in the race.
Dionel Then told his Facebook followers on social media last week he intends to run for city council.
Then has never run for political office before, but was an intern at The Riverdale Press in late 2017, writing a handful of stories, primarily surrounding activities at Van Cortlandt Park.
According to his LinkedIn page, Then currently is a tour leader at the Museum of Sex just outside of Manhattan’s Flatiron District on Fifth Avenue. He also states that he’s an intern for Gale Brewer and the Manhattan borough president’s office on public policy and land use, while also serving as a career counselor at The Knowledge House in Mott Haven.
