To the editor:
I have noticed over the past several months that a few drivers are parking overnight between 11:30 p.m., and well after 6 a.m., in front of fire hydrants in the area of Mosholu Avenue and Post Road.
I have photos of one such car that has parked there on multiple days since Dec. 29, including the day I submitted this letter.
This car does not have a police placard or any handicap or other placards that might make the police “look” the other way. I have, on occasion, brought this to the attention of officers from the 50th Precinct, and have witnessed them issuing a summons. Yet, the overnight parking blocking a fire hydrant continues.
Don’t really know if you can push this issue, but I am unsure where to get a voice to be heard for the safety of area residents and businesses.
