1. Grand larceny from an auto
2859 Webb Ave
Bronx, NY
Police say thieves broke into a 60-year-old man’s car and stole $2095 worth of property. The victim told police that on June 30 as he approached his car, parked at 2859 Webb Ave., he saw the rear passenger window had been smashed. The thieves took a TV and miscellaneous clothing from the 2016 Jeep Compass. This case remains open to investigation.
2. Burglary
2877 Sedgwick Ave.
Bronx, NY
At about noon on June 30 police say an unknown number of perpetrators broke into a man’s home and made off with $550 worth of property. They said that security footage captured the burglars forcing their way into 2877 Sedgwick Ave., by the front door and taking $300 in cash and $250 worth of baseball hats and watches. This case is open to detectives.
3. Burglary
2856 Webb Ave.
Bronx, NY
Police say a man made off with $725 worth of items from 2856 Webb Ave., on June 29. They said the victim, a 33-year-old man, saw a suspicious person that he did not recognize leaving his building with bags filled with items. He told police that he thought nothing of the encounter until he came and saw he had been burglarized. This case is open to detectives.
4. Walgreens robbed
5564 Broadway
Bronx, NY
A man robbed a Walgreens at 5564 Broadway when an employee tried to stop him from stealing Banana Boat sunscreen. Police say the perpetrator was stuffing items into his sweater when an employee told him to empty his sweater. The suspect allegedly brandished a knife and fled the store along with $253 in miscellaneous items. This case is open to detectives.
5. DWI
W. 231 Street and Broadway
Bronx, NY
Police say they arrested a man driving on the wrong side of the road on Sunday at about 2:38 a.m. They said the defendant was driving south on Broadway when he was stopped at about West 231st Street. The man was arrested and taken to the station to conduct a Breathalyzer test.
