1. Deli burglary
2701 Webb Ave.
Bronx, ny
The Express Webb Deli, located at 2701 Webb Ave., was burglarized on Sunday, police said. The owner of the deli said when he came to open the store that morning, he discovered that an unknown perpetrator had entered the store through the bathroom window and taken $350 in cash, a 42-inch Toshiba TV and various food items. Police said there were cameras on scene. The case remains open to detectives.
2. Gear stolen
3113 Fairfield Ave
Bronx, NY
Police said that a commercial van was burglarized in front of 3113 Fairfield Ave. on June 6 around 2 p.m. An unknown perpetrator reportedly broke into a 54-year-old man’s 2013 Maybach Sprinter, stealing $2,127 worth of items. Those included a drill and a grinder. The burglary case is still open to investigation.
3. Grand larceny
northeast corner of Sedgwick and Goulden avenues.
Bronx, NY
Police said sometime between 9:30 a.m. on June 11 and 1 a.m. the next day, unknown suspects broke into a car on the northeast corner of Sedgwick and Goulden avenues. The victim, a 26-year-old man, told police he parked his 2000 Honda Odyssey at the location early Saturday morning and when he returned, he saw that the rear passenger side window was broken with items missing. The thieves reportedly took a Sony radio and TV monitor totaling $1200 in value. The case remains open to detectives.
4. Kingsbridge DWI
Exterior Street and Kingsbridge Avenue
Bronx, NY
Police said they arrested a 38-year-old man for driving while intoxicated at 1 a.m. on June 9. The arresting officer reported seeing the driver on the wrong side of the road on Exterior Street and then pulled him over when turned on Kingsbridge Avenue without using a signal. Police said the defendant was verbally combative and smelled of alcohol. He reportedly refused a Breathalyzer exam. The case is closed due to arrest.
5. Woman menaced
northwest corner of West 246th Street and Henry Hudson Parkway
Bronx, NY
A woman was arrested on Saturday for threatening another women with a small wooden baseball bat, according to police. They said that the defendant, 19, and the victim, 39, were involved in a car accident on the northwest corner of West 246th Street and Henry Hudson Parkway. The suspect allegedly brandished the bat saying, “I’m going to… kill you,” using profanity. This case is closed due to arrest.
