The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is cutting express bus service to Manhattan, presumably for financial reasons. They are in the red, and that is public knowledge.
I take city buses frequently. The crowds of people who enter the rear door to avoid paying the fare are mind-boggling. They do so with impunity, and obviously without a care in the world.
I suggest we need a person on each bus who has law enforcement powers. The hard-working, honest people of the city are once again expected to pick up the burden for the lawless.
One more reason to consider leaving New York City.
