A look at Hollywood's greatest

Posted

To the editor:

Watching the Oscars during the annual ceremony last month reminded me of how few stars from Hollywood’s golden ages are left.

We should do more to remember those who are. Specifically, we should pay greater respect to the careers of people like Olivia de Havilland, Norman Lloyd, Marge Champion and Marsha Hunt.

The recent losses of Doris Day and Kirk Douglas prompted me to say this.

Lloyd and Hunt were also victims of the “blacklist” who had success in their return after exile.
