1. Attempted robber cuffed
West 230th Street and Broadway
Bronx, NY
Police said they arrested a 30-year-old male who tried to rob a 44-year-old man around 1 a.m. on April 28 at the northeast corner of West 230th Street and Broadway. The suspect reportedly asked the victim for money, then attacked him from behind when the man refused. Police said the case is closed and the suspect faces attempted robbery charges.
2. Robbers evaded
2840 Sedgwick Ave.
Bronx, NY
Two unknown males jumped out of a Honda parked at 2840 Sedgwick Ave. on April 21 while a man was walking and attempted to take his phone and a grocery bag, according to police. They said the victim resisted until the two men jumped back into their car and fled the scene. The case remains open to detectives.
3.BMW break-in
West 240th Street and Tibett Avenue
Bronx, NY
Police said that an unknown number of perpetrators broke into the rear window of a 24-year-old man’s BMW on Sunday, stealing $3,750 worth of electronics, at the northeast corner of West 240th Street and Tibett Avenue. The stolen items reportedly included an Apple laptop, Sony camera and Beats By Dr Dre headphones. The case is still open to detectives.
4. Wallet, laptop stolen
3332 Giles Place
Bronx, NY
A woman who parked her car in front of 3332 Giles Place on April 28 returned at 2:45 p.m. that day to find the vehicle had been broken into, according to police. The car, which was unlocked, was undamaged, but the victim said her wallet and laptop were stolen. The case remains open to detectives.
5. Tires slashed
3460 Cannon Place
Bronx, NY
A woman told police the tires on her 2008 Audi A4 were slashed while it was parked in front of 3460 Cannon Place on April 30. According to the victim, 34, she parked her car at the above location and when she came back at 9 p.m., she discovered the vandalism. Police said that the case is closed due to a lack of evidence.
