To the editor:
Since the demolition — piece-by-singular-piece — of a house at 3635 Johnson Ave., last year, the vacant lot remains what it is: vacant.
Apparently, the cheapo developers have not found the resources to build anything there as they barely found them to destroy the Mediterranean tiled-roofed two-family house once occupying the property.
Taking months for the owners to remove the debris from the destruction after residential complaints, it is an embarrassment to the community.
Now blockaded by eight-foot-high fences, one can look through the two portholes to see what nature is reclaiming. Maybe the tall withering grass will catch fire this fall, and at least bring this apparent abandonment to the attention of the owners, courtesy of the fire department.
