There really is no one more anti-Semitic than Democrats

This Point of View will deal with two distinct topics, both of which involve Democrats: The continuing crisis of the many tens of thousands of illegal aliens invading our southern border, and the anti-Semitism and Jew hatred slowly percolating within the Democratic Party.

I concluded my last letter Feb. 17 by stating, “It is absolutely ridiculous that people who are here illegally can take advantage of our laws. If the current laws aren’t doing the job — and they certainly aren’t — we should change them. Otherwise, we are simply just a bunch of schmucks beating our heads against a wall.”

Several weeks later, I was happy to discover that mine wasn’t just a lone voice in the wilderness. The New York Post, in its lead editorial of March 6 titled “Face the Crisis,” essentially made the same points I did.

Here (in part) is what the editorial had to say: “More than 76,000 migrants crossed the southern border illegally last month, the highest number in 12 years. So much for all those media ‘fact checks’ arguing there is no emergency to justify Trump’s wall.

“Trump wants a wall to prevent that ‘one foot on American soil’ standard. But what’s really needed is a change to our asylum rules — which will take both political cooperation and compromise.

“Congress needs to step up and update laws written long before today’s dilemma surfaced. But doing it means not letting the exclusionists and open-border extremes stand in the way of practical solutions.”

Unfortunately, the Democrats are in no hurry to solve this crisis since they favor the existing situation of open borders and illegal immigration — which they euphemistically and deceptively call “undocumented immigration.”

And so, President Trump recently issued his executive order concerning the building of border walls, which is now being contested in the courts.

I predict that this case will eventually end up before the U.S. Supreme Court, which will decide in the president’s favor since it deals with national security and safety of this country.

Now, let’s turn to the issue of anti-Semitism and Jew hatred among Democratic politicians who are always pointing to Republican David Duke as a racist, anti-Semitic white supremacist. Many years ago. Mr. Duke won a seat in the Louisiana state legislature and has been out of office for many years. Mr. Duke had and has no influence within the Republican Party.

On the other hand, Louis Farrakhan — the leader of the black nationalist organization, the Nation of Islam — has tremendous influence within the Democratic Party. This man is an admitted Jew hater who has referred to Judaism as a “gutter religion,” and to Jews as “termites.” And what do you do with termites? You exterminate them.

Among Mr. Farrakhan’s many influential friends are former President Barack Obama and many members of the Congressional Black Caucus. At a recent service for Aretha Franklin, another former president — Bill Clinton — sat two people away from Farrakhan and made no attempt to change his eat.

Linda Sarsour, one of the leaders of the Women’s March — which excluded Jewish women from participating and had only recently “apologized” — is an ardent supporter of Jew-hater Farrakhan.

Unlike the Republicans who denounce, repudiate and ostracize the anti-Semite David Duke, the Democrats embrace and lionize the anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan. The Democratic Party disgraces itself by doing so. Perhaps Congressman Eliot Engel would like to comment?

Mr. Engel can also explain to his constituents why U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar — after making vicious anti-Semitic slurs not once, not twice but three times — wasn’t severely denounced by Speaker Nancy Pelosi for this major affront to the Jewish people, and immediately removed from the Foreign Affairs Committee, of which Mr. Engel is chairman. And why was this “from the river to the sea” Jew-hating, radical Islamic Muslim put on his committee in the first place? Did Chairman Engel voice any objections?

There is something rotten going on in the Democratic Party. It is no longer the party of Roosevelt, Truman, Kennedy, Moynihan or “Scoop” Jackson. It is rapidly being taken over by radical leftists — and Jews better beware!
