Watch out for the cop car

Posted

If you’re going to jet around on a motorcycle, it’s probably best to take it slow around a police car. And definitely avoid falling right next to it.

One hot rod could’ve used this advice after he was ultimately arrested for doing this exact thing on June 15. The officers in the patrol car noticed the biker weaving in and out of traffic, according to a report, before falling close to the police cruiser.

The cops jumped out of their car to stop him, and after discovering his license had expired, he was arrested.

Cops confiscated his red-and-white Honda motorcycle.

Prada purse swiped

A late night with friends took a dark turn for one woman who was robbed at gunpoint during the early morning hours of June 13.

The woman was leaving her friend’s car near the 6100 block of Broadway, according to a report, when she and another friend were confronted by two men with guns. One of the robbers tried to remove the woman’s chain from her neck, and then fired four gunshots into the car.

The woman was able to escape into a nearby building, but was chased by the second man. He threw her to the ground, stealing her Prada purse containing her bankcard, driver’s license and $50 cash. The purse was valued at $800.

Police don’t have many solid leads, with nothing to go on but a description of the perps as “unknown males.” Still, detectives from the 50th Precinct are investigating.

Search still on

Police are looking for a man they say set fire to a pair of apartment doors at a residential building near University Avenue and West 195th Street.

He’s described as a Hispanic male, in his 20s, last seen wearing dark-colored clothing and carrying a gray backpack.
