I don’t visit my local bank because of “the smell of money.” I, and many of the people who bank in Knolls Crescent, are on walkers, canes or similar assistive devices.
There may well be “150 bank branches within a five-mile radius from the center of Riverdale,” but it would be impossible for me, at this age, to get anywhere except Knolls Crescent without assistance.
You may think “a recent rally seemed more about someone’s political ambition” — I don’t know whose, but I can tell you from personal experience that it is all about accessibility.
Perhaps you should actually go visit that branch before writing further opinion pieces on this matter.
