To the editor:
It is now nearly two years since then-state Sen. Jeffrey Klein was accused by one of his aides of having made unwanted intimate advances against her. He denied her claim and alleged that he had asked the state ethics agency, the Joint Commission on Public Ethics, to conduct an investigation to clear his name.
However, JCOPE has never issued any report as to such “investigation,” which leads me to suspect that there never was a sincere investigation, and possibly, that a concerted cover-up has occurred.
