People seem to forget a few things. Catholic schools no longer have religious teachers like they used to. This means these schools must provide a livable income as well as benefits for their teachers and administrators. In addition, parishes depend on contributions from their parishioners. If people aren't giving, then this is what happens.

Of course there is the sex abuse issue which is going to cost the Archdiocese millions.

Factor that in and of course schools, churches and parishes are going to close.
