Giselle Melendez Susca new KHCC head

As Kingsbridge Heights Community Center (KHCC) celebrates its 35th anniversary, we announce the retirement of our long time executive director, Charlie Shayne. In the 25 years that Charlie has been our executive director, KHCC has grown into a major organization in the Bronx that has maintained and nurtured its community roots.

In addition to wishing Charlie well and thanking him for his many contributions over the decades, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Giselle Melende Susca as our new executive director.

Giselle has been the associate executive of KHCC for the past 25 years and will provide continuity between our past and our future.

We will be celebrating our 35th anniversary, Charlie’s retirement and Giselle’s appointment as our new executive director at a gala to be held on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the New York Botanical Garden. Save the date cards and invitations will be sent out to community members in the next few months. We hope The Press and its readers will join us and continue to be strong supporters of KHCC.
