Robbery at gunpoint

1.

 A 31-year-old man told police he was robbed at around midnight on March 6 near the southeast corner of West 197th Street and Clafflin Avenue.

The victim said he was walking home from work when three unknown men approached him. One of the suspects pushed him to the ground, pressed a black handgun to his head and said, “Don’t scream. Just give me everything.”

The suspects removed $600 in cash, credit cards, a brown leather messenger bag, an iPhone, a Nook e-reader, a wallet, a driver’s license and a set of house keys before fleeing down Clafflin Avenue, police said.

The case remains open.

 

 

 

2. MC sudent beaten

A 24-year-old man told police he was robbed while walking home from Manhattan College at around 9:40 p.m. on March 8 near the northwest corner of Greystone Avenue and Manhattan College Parkway.

According to a Manhattan College Security Advisory e-mail, an unknown person approached the victim from behind and tapped him on his shoulder. The victim turned and saw a gun-wielding man wearing a red handkerchief across his face.

The assailant said, “Give me everything,” according to police. When the victim failed to comply he was punched in the face several times.

The suspect fled in a vehicle, driven by another person, northbound on Tibbett Avenue. 

Nothing was stolen and the case remains open.

 

3. Burglar startled

An 18-year-old girl told police she was home during an attempted burglary, at around 8 p.m. on March 6, at 2791 University Ave.

The victim said she was in her room when an unknown man opened a bathroom window and entered her apartment. When he saw her he ran out the apartment’s front door and the victim pursued.

She confronted the attempted burglar in the building’s lobby and he once again ran away.

The case remains open.

 

4. Cell phones stolen

A 20-year-old man told police he was robbed at around 9 p.m. on March 6, near the southeast corner of Giles Place and Sedgwick Avenue.

The victim said he was walking through the park when two males, one of who displayed a black firearm, approached him. The men demanded that the victim empty his pockets.

They removed two cell phones and a pair of headphones before fleeing.

The case remains open.
