Russian Mission

The Bronx Arts Ensemble will present its annual jazz concert, featuring GRAMMYwinning Latin flutist and Bronx native Dave Valentin, on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 8 p.m. The event will take place at the Russian Mission to the United Nations Residency, located on Mosholu Avenue at 255th Street.

For this performance, Mr. Valentin will be joined by four members of his band, including pianist Bill O’Connell, bassist Lincoln Goines, drummer Robby Ameen and Richie Flores on congas. The group will entertain guests with their unique form of crossover jazz, which combines pop and R&B sounds with Brazilian and Latin music.

Following the concert, which is sponsored by the Russian Mission and its diplomats, there will be a wine and cheese reception where audience members can meet the artists.
