For the second straight year, Riverdale Main Streets Alliance closed off two blocks of Riverdale Avenue south of 259 Street to throw a block party. During the June 11 by Silver Shoes Dance Club, a doggie parade by Universal Pet Grooming, and lively performance by Mark the Harper and his band. There was even miniature golf. Such organizations as the Riverdale Y, Riverspring Living, and Community Board 8 were on hand. Special thanks were given to local schools - Riverdale Country, SAR, and the College of Mount St. Vincent for showing their support.

During the June 11 event, there were Zumba classes given by Female Fight Club, a Latin dance lesson by Silver Shoes Dance Club, a doggie parade by Universal Pet Grooming, and a lively performance by Mark the Harper and his band. There was even miniature golf. Such organizations as the Riverdale Y, RiverSpring Living, and Community Board 8 were on hand.
