Candy store robbed

Two male perpetrators entered a candy store inside 249 W. 231st St., at around 2 a.m on April 1 and demanded money while showing a firearm.

There were no injuries and the perpetrators left with approximately $3,000. The candy store had surveillance footage inside.

The 50th Precinct detective squad is investigating the case.

Baby clothes stolen

On March 31 at about 5:30 p.m. a perpetrator entered Carter’s Clothing Store in front of 5550 Broadway, took several miscellaneous baby clothes amounting to $1,060 without paying.

Police found a suspect,  charging them with grand larceny.

Hyundai Elantra
is swiped

The owner of a 2018 Hyundai Elantra reported his vehicle was stolen sometime between April 9 at 8 p.m. and April 10 at 6:15 a.m.

The victim parked his car opposite of 5355 Henry Hudson Parkway W., and says he is the only one with access to the vehicle.

Catalytic converter stolen

The owner of a 2017 Hyundai reported his catalytic converter was stolen sometime between April 11 at 1 p.m. and April 13 at 9:30 a.m.

The victim parked his car on the northwest corner of Putnam Avenue West and West 238th Street.

When he returned, he  realized his catalytic converter was taken.

There was camera footage available at the location.

The catalytic converter is valued at $3,700.
