Teen robbed by nine others

1. A 15-year-old boy was attacked by nine other males on the northeast corner of Broadway and W. 225th Street, police said.

The victim was walking home at 2:50 a.m. on Aug. 28, when assailants stopped him and began punching and kicking him, police said.

The alleged victim told police he could not describe his attackers because he covered his face to protect himself, officers said. He told police his assailants took his book bag, a pair of Air Force 1 sneakers and a basketball.

Robbers caught

2. A 15-year-old boy was arrested for allegedly threatening a cab driver with a hammer and stealing his cell phone and tablet, police said.

The teenager rode in a cab to a parking lot at 171 W. 230th St., where he asked the driver for his phone to call his mom, police said.  When the driver refused, the teen allegedly threatened the driver with a hammer before taking his electronic gadgets and fleeing the scene.

Police apprehended the teen one block away. It was the third time the teen was arrested for robbery, police said.

3. Another man was arrested for robbery on Aug. 27, after allegedly attacking a woman in Van Cortlandt Village, police said.

They said the 46-year-old suspect walked up to his female victim and grabbed her by the neck and wrist.

He pulled her to the ground and took her phone from her hands and fled the scene, according to police.

He was arrested 20 minutes later, during a police canvass of the area.
