1. A man, whose age and ethnicity were not reported, had his green 1999 Acura Integra stolen on June 22 at 9 a.m., according to police.
The victim parked his car in front of 3545 Jerome Ave., but when he returned it was gone. No glass was found at the scene.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
2. Man found in possession of marijuana
Police said a 27-year-old black man was arrested on account of criminal possession of marijuana on June 22 at 2:30 a.m.
The man was standing on the northwest corner of West 261st Street and Broadway with a lit marijuana cigarette in plain view and two bags of marijuana.
It marks the 12th arrest for the 27-year-old from Yonkers, who had previously been arrested for similar charges as well as assault.
3. Four friends robbed
Four males, a white 17-year-old, a white 15-year-old, a Hispanic 17-year-old, and a fourth whose age and ethnicity was not reported, were robbed on Independence Ave. and West 235th St. on June 24 at 2 p.m, according to authorities.
The group was walking through Seton Park after visiting a friend when they were approached by a man who asked them to hand over their phones.
One of the victims responded, “Can I give you money instead of my phone?”
The perpetrator replied, “Give me the money.”
In total four iPhones and $10 were stolen. The case remains open.
4. House burglary
Police said a burglar stole property from a 50-year-old woman’s basement on 800 W 231st St., on June 24 at 2:30 p.m.
The woman was on the second floor while the burglary took place, but no alarms went off alerting her because she had left both windows in the basement unlocked.
The burglar stole a Samsung Home Theater, a 55-inch TV, an XBOX,and jewelry worth $10,000.
The investigation is ongoing.
5. Car accident causes casualty
A 54-year-old man was killed in a car accident on June 28 at 4:35 a.m., according to police.
The man was on the northeast corner of West 225th St. and Marble Hill Ave., traveling westbound at a high speed on a 2015 Volkswagen Sedan, when he struck the rear of a vehicle carrying two passengers, and parked on the northeast corner of the intersection.
The car that was struck then spiraled over and hit the rear of a third vehicle with four passengers, which was stopped at a red light at the same intersection.
Vehicles two and three went across 228th St. and collided with the front of a fourth vehicle with one passenger, which was stationed at the red light, waiting to travel eastbound.
The driver of the first car was pronounced dead at 5:04 a.m. All other passengers were treated with minor injuries.
The collision is under investigation by detectives.
