The judges of the Purple Dragonfly Book Awards contest, which recognizes excellence in children's literature, have spoken, and Adopting Ginger, written by retired P.S.81 teacher Linda Griffin, won second place in the pet/animal category. Ms. Griffin taught at P.S. 81 for more than thirty years.
