Dr. Avi Deener joins practice

Riverdale physician Dr. Avi Deener has joined the Westchester Medical Group’s Allergy and Immunology Department, in White Plains, N.Y., after serving in a private practice in Hackensack, N.J.

After receiving his bachelor of arts degree in American studies from Brandeis University and his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry — New Jersey Medical School of Newark, N.J., Dr. Deener completed his residency in internal medicine at New Jersey’s University of Medicine and Dentistry. He then undertook a fellowship in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Allergy and Immunology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

The Westchester Medical Group’s 140 physicians serve middle and lower Westchester County through its physicianowned, multi-specialty group practice.
