(re: “Bill Stone, community leader, activist for the disabled, 91,” Sept. 3)
Bill Stone’s obituary was moving and very descriptive of the man I always knew to be firm in his dedication of serving others.
From time to time, I met Bill when he was serving as chair of Community Board 8 in 1984, and I started working there about that time.
He never wavered from doing all he could to improve the quality of life for all, especially for handicapped and disabled citizens.
He worked tirelessly for implementation of laws on their behalf, with a good amount of success.
Bill’s memory and good works will live on forever.
