Riverdale resident appointed

Gov. David Paterson last week appointed Riverdale resident Thomas G. Donlon as the director of the state’s Office of Homeland Security.

Mr. Donlon worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation for 31 years, and was most recently global director of corporate security for Credit Suisse. He held that post from September 2005 until December 2008.

At the FBI, Mr. Donlon’s responsibilities included overseeing the Joint Terrorism Task Force.
