A view from Riverdale Avenue last week shows the amber-lit smog that descended upon Riverdale in front of SAR High School and 259 Street. With the naked eye, many could see an orange hue that blocked the sunlight from coming through. It was due to dangerous smoke from hundreds of fires in southern Canada. The Air Quality Index reached 484, which made it too dangerous to breath for people with asthma or othre similar ailments. By end of the weekend, the smoke dissipated.
