In the event of an evacuation for people in Zones B or C (info below), those with no alternative means of shelter this weekend can head to the David A. Stein Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy, MS/HS 141, 660 W. 237 St. or Lehman College, 250 Bedford Park Boulevard West.
The Botanical Garden and the Bronx Zoo will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.
Manhattan College has revised its move-in schedule for this weekend. The Freshman and transfer move-in, is scheduled for Saturday between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. But the Sunday, Aug. 28 move-in and all Sunday activities will have been rescheduled for Monday, Aug. 29. All classes scheduled to begin prior to 4 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 29, have been canceled. Classes scheduled to begin after 4 p.m. will proceed as scheduled.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced this afternoon that all Metropolitan Transit Authority services will be shut down at noon on Saturday.
