LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

What do we do now?

Posted

To the editor:

Maybe Mitch McConnell is right. Maybe Jan. 6 does not require further investigation.

So what does he think we should do with what we know? And we do know.

We have seen it up close. In detail. Again and again.

So what do we do now? Do we let this moral insult — these unholy acts to our country, to our democracy — pass by as a group of excited tourists or a bad day?

This cannot be ignored, unpunished, passed over.

We ask for justice, For recognition of this tragedy. For recounting of this deed. And, ultimately, we ask for a healing from the terrible wound that has been inflicted on the body of our country.
