Marianne’s Pizza Café has replaced Nona’s Pizza restaurant at 6100 Riverdale Ave., having opened Aug. 18. Under new ownership, the pizza café is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday. In addition to pizza, the restaurant offers soups, salads, pastas, entrees and sandwiches, heroes, paninis and wraps.

Everyone calls him Rosey, short for Roosevelt Spivey. He’s been cutting hair at the Marble Hill International Unisex Salon since he bought the place back in 1962. He’s seen a lot of changes since then, but one thing has stayed the same. He loves cutting hair.
